The perfect "I Do": Our essential guide to a stress-free wedding

1.Talk to your future spouse and determine the involvement both of you want to have. Some grooms are all in on every decision, and others choose to let the bride to be handle most of the planning. Its best to discuss the decisions the groom would like to be involved in beforehand to reduce any hurt or frustrated feelings that can come about during all the decisions to come.

2.Discuss pre-marital counseling. This can be fun! A great learning experience, and better to discuss important topics you may not have brought up yet and come to a middle ground on potential disagreements before marriage rather than trying to fix after. 3.Tour your venue and pick a date. Most wedding venues wont let you tour without a date chosen, or at least in mind. Try and be flexible on your wedding date, at least within a particular month to get the most availability.

4.Once you have picked a venue and date its time to get the wheels moving.

5.Take help when offered. It is ok to be specific about your wishes, but no doubt people will want to help, and you may graciously say thank you, we have it covered, but if something comes up we'll let you know (always keep the door open...you never know what you'll need when it comes to crunch time.) Additionally, don't be afraid to ask for help... DELEGATE! This may be your one chance in life to be the boss.

Communication is the key to stress free days ahead.  Be specific, be kind, be honest, and be an even better listener.
